Weston General Hospital

Weston General Hospital is the smallest acute trust in England. It is currently in the process of merging clinical and managerial services with our neighbouring Trust, University Hospitals Bristol. We have an A&E department (open for medical take 0800 to 2200 daily), ITU, Day Case Unit and newly refurbished Endoscopy unit. Our catchment population is over 200k which increases in the summer with a large visiting tourist population. We were recently rated as one of the top hospitals in the country by CHKS, an independent body monitoring standards of hospital care. It is 25 miles from Bristol and 35 miles from Taunton.

The department has had a recently refurbished 2-room endoscopy unit which has a number of scopes of 4000 per year.
